IDimage in Action: evolutionID impressively demonstrates how the seamless integration of AI-powered data enrichment into an existing access control system is implemented with its ID management software IDfunction at a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer. This flexible system enables electronic and optical ID personalization at several international locations and synchronizes in real-time with the dormakaba Matrix.
The solution is already successfully in use at several locations at Daimler Truck AG across Europe.
By combining optical personalization and electronic encoding in a single step, the system sets new standards in efficiency. Communication takes place via a bidirectional interface, through which the access control system dormakaba Matrix transmits the personal data imported from Oracle HCM (Human Capital Management) to evolutionID's ID management solution IDfunction. In this proven system, the data is comprehensively enriched, including with a high-resolution portrait image. The integrated, AI-powered image capture software handles the acquisition and processing, performing cropping, alignment, and background removal precisely and automatically. The enriched dataset then seamlessly returns to the dormakaba Matrix system. In this way, IDfunction accompanies the entire lifecycle of each ID card with maximum efficiency and precision.
About us
For more than two decades, evolutionID has helped organizations bring clarity and control to identity and access. We focus on what matters most: secure, reliable processes that are simple to operate and built to last.
We bring together Physical Identity & Access Management (PIAM), card and employee management, and RFID‑supported workflows into one coherent approach. Our modular building blocks allow identity and access systems to adapt over time—without disrupting what already works. The result is less complexity, more transparency, and greater confidence in everyday operations.
As a long‑term partner, we guide our customers step by step—from analysis and architecture to implementation, migration, and ongoing support. With teams in Munich, Bonn, and Frankfurt, we work closely with organizations across the DACH region to create access infrastructures that stay secure, stable, and ready for what comes next.
